« Mitologia contemporanea »,una serie di opere disegnate e incise, nasce con l’intenzione di rappresentare ciò che la teoria della psicoanalisi afferma: identificare i miti come simboli arcaici che strutturano sia l’uomo dell’antichità che quello di oggi. Queste opere evidenziano il panorama invariato di questi impulsi umani e rivisitano, attraverso il linguaggio del corpo, i canoni estetici della scultura greco-romana.

L’interpretazione di questi personaggi mitici diventa il supporto di un movimento dall’interno verso l’esterno. L’intenzione è potente e si occupa delle strutture interne di questi corpi, rese visibili e concrete. È l’essenza di una linea pura e percettiva, che collega il nucleo dell’individuo alle sue connessioni sensoriali. La figura mitica diventa vitale, incarnata e, allo stesso tempo, attuale e contemporanea.

La ricerca di Dario Imbò, nato a Roma e operante a Parigi, rivela tanto delle sue emozioni, dei suoi sentimenti intimi quanto della sua percezione delle dimensioni spaziali e sonore del suo ambiente. Riesce a trasfigurarli visivamente dando forma all’immateriale.

« Mythologie contemporaine », série d’œuvres dessinées puis gravées, est née dans l’intention de représenter ce que la théorie de la psychanalyse énonce : identifier les mythes comme des symboles archaïques qui structurent autant l’homme de l’antiquité que celui d’aujourd’hui. Ces œuvres mettent en évidence le panorama inchangé de ces pulsions humaines et revisitent, à travers le langage du corps, les canons esthétiques de la sculpture greco-romaine.

L’interprétation de ces personnages mythiques devient le support d’un mouvement de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur. L’intention est puissante et porte sur les structures internes de ces corps, rendues visibles et concrètes. C’est l’essence d’une ligne pure et perceptive, reliant le noyau de l’individu à ses connexions sensorielles. La figure mythique devient

vitale, vivante, incarnée, et du même coup, actuelle et contemporaine.

Les recherches menées par Dario Imbò, né à Rome et travaillant à Paris, relèvent autant de ses émotions, de ses sens tions intimes, que de sa perception des dimensions spatiales et sonores de son environnement. Il parvient à les transfigurer visuellement en donnant forme à l’immatériel.

« contemporary Mythology », a series of drawings and calcographic prints, was born with the intention of representing what the theory of psychoanalysis states: to identify the myths as archaic symbols that structure both the man of antiquity and that of today. These works highlight the unchanged panorama of these human impulses and revisit, through the language of the body, the aesthetic canons of Greek-Roman sculpture.

The interpretation of these mythical characters becomes the support of a movement from the inside to the outside. The intention is powerful and deals with the internal structures of these bodies, made visible and concrete. It is the essence of a pure and perceptive line, connecting the core of the individual to his sensory connections. The mythical figure becomes vital, alive, embodied, and at the same time, actual and contemporary.

The research realized by Dario Imbò, born in Rome and working in Paris, reveals as much of his emotions, of his intimate feelings, as of his perception of the spatial and sound dimensions of his environment. He achieves to transfigure them visually by giving form to the immaterial.
